15-Dec-2019 | Superfly Christmas Special!

Christmas Funk and Soul Party!

WHAT can we say about Superfly's Christmas party?

Absolute quality from beginning to end.
For those who misses out, all we can say is you will regret missing the legendary Link Quartet.
The Italian Hammond organ geniuses went down a storm with a set comprising tracks from their various albums.
It's hard to believe these guys have been on the go for a quarter of a century.
The enthusiasm they still retain is testament to their professionalism.
From beginning to end they had the punters at the Oh Yeah Centre on the dancefloor.
Everyone of the musicians is undoubtedly talented.
But Paolo Negri on the Hammond gave us a masterly performance.
There's Hammond grooves and then there's the Link Quartet.
An absolute honour to see them perform live in our wee country and hopefully not the last time!
Kicking off the night - and going down a storm with our Italian visitors and punters alike - were The Organauts.
The Bangor trio have built up a bit of a following and no wonder.
Eleanor McClean is no mean Hammond player herself and if you get the chance to catch this trio live we advise you to do so.
Incidentally, they are appearing at...on Thursday night.
Right from the band start they had the audience up strutting their stuff as they blasted through an impressive set.
Finishing off with a blistering version of "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer,  it set the tone perfectly for what was to follow.
Mention also to DJ Paul Miller from Bedford who kept everyone entertained before, during and after the live performances with some quality tunes.
As a double header, it won't get much better than this!
