HELLO FUNKY PEOPLE
Hope that love’s light is shining on you wherever you may be.
This month sees the release of “Tomorrow’s New Dream”. It is in my mind the most eclectic and stylistically wide-ranging record that I have produced for Incognito. I have never been into any one particular sound or style of music in my life, and aged 62 celebrating my band’s 40th anniversary and self-releasing our 18th Studio album, I felt that I had earned the right to do as I please. Some of you will be into certain tracks and some will gravitate to the whole thing.
House heads will be pleased to know that there will be a remixed album featuring many of the tracks from “Tomorrow’s New Dream” with some totally new cuts in 2020. I just hope that in some way or another we continue to feed your soul!
Celebrating her birthday in the month of November… The face on the cover of the album is part African / Caribbean / Asian / European. She is my niece Charlise Rookwood. She has had a music career singing solo and as a backing vocalist for Incognito and Maysa on her All My Life album, featuring lead vocalist with Kid Crème & Da Muttz. She was also Incognito’s tour manager prior to her move to the USA. Her conviction to set a healthy example for her daughter led her to create vegan meals at home that became a hit in her community and led to this new and exciting chapter in her life.
