It's the fourth instalment from his highly acclaimed "My Life at 45" series.
The A side, "Boom", features the vocal talents of one of the UK's leading blues and soul singers, John Turrell.
No stranger to Superfly followers, John recounts the sorry tale of a man who burns the candle at both ends, leaving plenty of recriminations.
On B side "Steppin In", we are treated to a beat fest guaranteed to get the head nodding.
Piano, guitar and Hammond combine to give the listener a tight jazz funk groove.
This latest offering is a taster for next month's "My Life at 45 album.
