DAVID WALTERS might not be a household name...yet.
But with new single "Krye Mwen" from forthcoming album "Soleil Kreyol", he hopes to change all that.
Released on French label Heavenly Sweetness on January 17, David manages to pay homage to the Creole culture.
He draws inspiration from his grandfather who migrated to New York from St. Kitts and Nevis.
The unusually titled "Krye Mwen" shows how this New York city sound was absorbed into David's music.
Think late nights at the Palladium or Studio 54 on this hedonistic 70's/80's roller and you get the idea of the vibe.
Already receiving rave reviews from the likes of Giles Peterson and BBC Radio 6 Music, give it a go.
